Mac’s Personality
Mac is very sweet boy with a playful personality and loves to stick by his owner’s side as much as possible. He LIVES to play fetch and is obsessed with tennis balls – he almost always carries two around at once. He’s anxious around strangers but settles in after playing fetch with him – definitely his love language.
Mac lives with 3 cats at moment and is very, very gentle with them. Knows how to play with them without ever getting aggressive. He’s been around younger kids before who played fetch with him, under parent supervision, and been great. But given his anxiousness, I wouldn’t want a hyper kid with no dog experience / parent supervision around.
Mac does not have an aggressive personality, nor has he been trained or encouraged to act as a defense / aggressive dog.
Mac’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?
Loves to run around in the yard or play fetch in a field. He LOVES tennis balls and skinny rawhide sticks for snacks. Not a picky eater – will consume most anything.
Cute Mac Story:
The way he plays with the cats is adorable – very gentle yet gets them riled up in little friendly skirmishes. Almost like he’s a cat himself.
Why is Mac Being Rehomed?
Two reasons:
1. I live alone and am simply working way too much and am away from home all the time. I’m increasingly traveling for work and simply do not have the time to afford him the life he deserves.
2. I’ve fallen under a tremendous financial burden and I can’t afford the resources to take care of him while I’m away. I’ve tried as long as I could, but it’s no longer tenable.
Mac’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:
A loving home that will play with him and give him the attention he deserves during the day. He will repay that attention with loyalty and companionship.
I would love to see Mac again and stay in touch with him, but completely understand if that’s not the new owners’ preference.
