ALL ABOUT Louise – German Shepherd Mix Dog For Private Adoption in St Louis MO

Louise is a very devoted and affectionate 7 year old female German Shepherd Terrier mix dog. She is spayed, up to date on shots, microchipped, crate trained and house broken. She is good with children and other pets, including both dogs and cats, as well as other small animals. She is a medium sized dog weighing just 30 pounds. She is looking for a quiet home with a solid routine and an owner who is home most of the time. This sweet girl will be rehomed with all supplies and vet records.

Why is Louise Being Placed For Adoption

With her anxiety (see above), our busy, on the go lifestyle and bustling home is not the right fit for her. When she is on high alert, it ratchets up
the anxiety level of the household. We tend to have a lot of hubbub in our house as we both work from home with a toddler scampering around, his sitter, and another dog in the mix. Her anxiousness gets our other dog riled up,
amplifying the chaos, which is not conducive to working from home or fostering the well-being of a toddler.

Louise (aka Lou, aka Weezy) is a very snuggely little gal. If you have a blanket over you she will burrow under it and fall fast asleep <3. She is also an awesome swimmer and loves fetch in the water. We adopted her in June 2013 from KC Pet Project when she was about 8-11 months, so she is about 7ish. She is good with other dogs and is curious of cats but takes a warning hiss and backs off. She sleeps and snuggles most of the day in a less energy filled house, but we are on the move and have a rather bustling household and that makes her on high alert. She would do well in a less hectic en
vironment. She is great with people once the initial excitement of them coming in subsides. Oh and she has the cutest hairless pink belly that I call her “pig belly,” so cute!

Feeding Routine

Louise currently is being fed:

American Journey Limited Ingredient Grain-Free Turkey & Sweet Potato Recipe Dry Dog Food, we feed her twice a day, in the morning and at night. I do not recall if it is half cup or a cup (we have a pre-measured scoop) but can find that out.
